Local Sculpture

I set out this morning to get the sun shining on the mansions on the west side of the local streets.  However, I noticed that the gates to the Pratt Institute were open, and I was drawn in by the chance to catch the newest art.  Pratt is a well-known school of art that displays student sculpture on the campus.
History of the area and local mansions still to come!

This was very enjoyable to see! Thanks!

Was the beautiful sunset in your header taken last week? I caught the end of a spectacular sunset like this on my way home from Manhattan..so beautiful!

Beautiful pictures Kate. The stones on sticks is especially interesting as are the fighting animals and the shadow makers.

Pat - I went to look up when I took that photo and forgot to get back to you! Sorry about the delay. I took the current banner photo back in November. I've seen a few other sunsets somewhat like it since, but never quite so dramatic. Our high floor vantage point facing west does give us a show nearly every sunset.

Really terrific sculptures. I want goat statues in my yard to look at - oh, if I could sculpt! (or draw. Drawing would be nice, too). Lovely photos.
